Prototype Development
Anthread Engineering helps develop physical product prototypes by connecting design, engineering and fabrication. Based in Karachi, Pakistan, the team supports early concepts through practical prototype work and manufacturing preparation within an agreed project scope.
Start with the question the prototype must answer
A prototype may be needed to review packaging, explore a mechanism, integrate electronics or prepare an assembly process. Defining that purpose helps focus engineering effort and the fabrication approach.
Connect design and fabrication
The existing service covers mechanical design, electronics and embedded systems where required, prototype fabrication, 3D printing and production tooling. These capabilities can be scoped together or around a specific development stage.
Learn from documented development work
The enclosed EV project covers concept-to-prototype development. The vehicle tooling project focuses on assembly support, while the modular controller project addresses an interchangeable input architecture and design for assembly. Their scopes illustrate distinct development tasks rather than a fixed prototype package.
Prepare for an initial discussion
Share the concept, current design files, what has already been built, the issue to resolve, target quantities and schedule. Include acceptance criteria and any testing requirements. Prototype completion does not itself establish certification or readiness for mass production.

What to expect
Can you help before a design is finished?
Yes. The product-development workflow includes early concepts, architecture and engineering. The first discussion can establish which design decisions need to be resolved before fabrication.
Is this a standalone 3D-printing shop?
This service focuses on engineering-led physical product development. 3D printing is one available prototyping method within that workflow; ForgeGrid is Anthread’s separate 3D-printer product.
